Steve Chaplin, Senior Vice President Health, Safety and Environment

Steve Chaplin is a highly influential and results-driven executive with over 30 years of diverse industry experience. Since joining EllisDon in 2018, Steve has been instrumental in developing and implementing innovative safety programs that have distinguished the company as an industry leader. Recognized for his exceptional track record in health, safety, and environmental management, Steve was awarded the Roy A. Phinnemore Award in 2021 and currently serves as the Chair of the Prevention Council of Ontario. 

 

Ron Harper, P.Eng, C.Dir., President & CEO
JFE Shoji Power Canada

Ron Harper is the President & CEO of JFE Shoji Power Canada (JSC), a Burlington-based company that is an integral part of the North American supply chain for electrical steel components for power generation equipment, motors, power and distribution transformers, and specialized magnetic equipment.   

Ron has worked in manufacturing for over 40 years, mostly in senior leadership positions in marketing, engineering, operations and general management. He has been with JSC since 1995 and has held the role of President & CEO since 2008.  

Ron has served on several industry and community boards for the past fifteen years. He is a current member of the Transformer Manufacturing Association of America and has previously served on the Association for Manufacturing Excellence Executive Committee (including as Chairman) and the Centre for Skills Development and Training in Canada. Ron regularly advises on government policies and initiatives with Next Generation Manufacturing and Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, along with sustainability and clean electrical energy policies.  

Ron is also a leading member of the strategic initiative for People Centric Leadership. This movement is intended to educate leaders to engage and lead teams in a manner to maximize job satisfaction and fulfillment, while creating significant value in business.  

 

Terry Rothmaier, Senior Vice President, Governance Oversight Assessment & Learning
Bruce Power

With 25 years of nuclear experience, Terry has developed in many functional areas including Engineering, Outages, and Operations with over 22 years in key leadership roles. Terry spent 2 years with the World Association of Nuclear Operators conducting Peer Reviews in the areas of Organizational Effectiveness at 14 different utilities and was able to operationalize these best practices to improve the Bruce B Station Performance to Exemplary as rated during the 2022 WANO Peer Review, and as the Senior Vice President in Governance Oversight Assessment & Learning, to achieve a rating of Corporate Performance as Exemplary by WANO in 2023.

Terry Rothmaier takes a growth mindset and makes it reality through sound strategy development. He intuitively sees the threads of opportunity through a people-focused approach within the organization, brings them together into a coherent whole, helps others extend their thinking to see the bigger picture, and consistently drives operational focus with high standards.
