Cultivating Safety. Growing Your Business.

The Ontario greenhouse industry is flourishing, with crop production increasing by five per cent each year. This growth also comes with it the highest lost time injury (LTI) rates in the agricultural sector. The leading offenders are incidents involving falls, overexertion, and struck by objects or heavy equipment. Lack of awareness and training on proper health and safety protocols, the long hours and workload fatigue are contributing factors leading to an increase in injury, illness and even fatality rates in this industry.

Early prevention measures with proper controls in place can be the difference to improving production, enhancing business protocols and protecting worker safety.

The Greenhouse Health & Safety Symposium is your opportunity to invest in your workers, help them stay healthy and safe while building safe work practices that will lead to profitability and success. Together, let’s take the necessary steps to grow the business while cultivating a culture of safety.
